B2B SaaS ads in APAC

It depends on the country, because APAC is not one market. Google leads search across Asia at 91.96%, but it holds 59.27% in Japan and 47.97% in South Korea, where Naver has 43.06%. Those are StatCounter figures for September 2026. LinkedIn counts more than 410 million members in Asia Pacific. Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads lead in most markets, and Japan and South Korea each need a plan of their own.

Which ad channels work best for B2B SaaS in APAC?

Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads in most countries, with two large exceptions in search. No study ranks channels by region for B2B SaaS, so the table starts from where people search.

Market Google Next engine What it means for a plan
Asia overall 91.96% Bing 2.99% Google Ads covers nearly all search
Australia 87.9% Bing 9.17% Close to the North American pattern. Microsoft Ads is worth a look
Japan 59.27% Bing 31.41%, Yahoo 7.61% Google Ads alone misses about four searches in ten
South Korea 47.97% Naver 43.06% Google Ads reaches under half of search
India 96.63% Bing 1.92% See the India page

Beyond search, three platform facts apply across the region.

  • LinkedIn Ads draws on a network that counts more than 410 million members in Asia Pacific. LinkedIn's About page does not break that figure down by country.
  • ChatGPT ads run in Japan and South Korea, which OpenAI named in its 2026 expansion. No other APAC country is named in the announcements read for this page.
  • Naver is a separate search engine. Google Ads does not reach searches made there, and this site has not covered Naver's own advertising.

What do B2B SaaS ads cost in APAC?

No sourced B2B SaaS figure was found for any APAC country. Two directional sources show the scale.

The first is WordStream's country comparison, which ranks estimated search click prices against the US average.

Country Estimated search click price against the US average
Australia 5% lower
New Zealand 14% lower
Japan 47% lower
Singapore 58% lower
India 77% lower

That comparison covers all industries, uses Google Keyword Planner estimates for English keywords and gives no collection date. English keywords are a real limit in Japan, where buyers search in Japanese.

The second is ZenABM's LinkedIn Ads Benchmarks 2026, which lists a LinkedIn cost per lead of $80 to $120 for APAC, against $200 to $250 for North America. The article does not state the basis for those ranges, and it gives no figures for any single APAC country.

The cost tables on the paid ads benchmarks page lean on US accounts. For APAC they are a reference point, and a company's own cost per sales-qualified lead (SQL) in each country is the benchmark that counts.

Why is APAC not one market for ads?

Because the things a campaign depends on change at each border. Four of them differ between the region's main markets.

  1. The search engine. Google's share runs from 96.63% in India to 47.97% in South Korea.
  2. The language. Australia, New Zealand and Singapore can be reached in English. Japan and South Korea call for Japanese and Korean.
  3. The price. On the directional comparison above, an Australian click is close to a US one and a Singaporean click is less than half.
  4. The time zone. Sales follow-up has to happen in the buyer's working day, which for a team based elsewhere means planning cover.

The practical result is a sequence. English-language markets come first for a company that sells in English, because the ads, landing pages and sales calls already exist. Japan and South Korea come later and need local-language pages and, for search, a view on Bing or Naver.

How do APAC buyers differ?

Deals involve more people and take longer than in the US, on published ranges. B2B SaaS Buying Committee Size Benchmarks 2026 (GrowthSpree) groups Japan, Singapore and Australia together.

Region Stakeholders in a deal Deals with procurement involved Sales cycle against the US
United States 6 to 11 62% to 78% Baseline
APAC (Japan, Singapore, Australia) 8 to 14 82% to 92% 18% to 32% longer
India 9 to 15 85% to 94% 22% to 38% longer

The publication states no sample or method for this table, so these are published ranges and not study findings.

A longer cycle matters for tracking. The same publisher's Google Ads audit cites a median sales cycle of 84 days, in a sample that is 88% US accounts. Adding 18% to 32% gives about 99 to 111 days. That is arithmetic across two publications and not a measured APAC figure. Google accepts an imported conversion up to 90 days after the click with a click ID, or 63 days with contact data, so closed deals will often arrive too late. The qualified-lead stage should be sent back as well, as set out on the conversion tracking and attribution page.

How should campaigns be set up for APAC?

One country at a time. Five steps cover the essentials.

  1. Split campaigns by country. Each market gets its own budget, bids and cost per SQL.
  2. Match the language. Google Ads Help says it uses "search term language, the user's language settings, and preferences" to decide which language a searcher knows. Keywords, ads and pages in the buyer's language follow from that.
  3. Change the location option to "Presence." Google Ads Help calls "Presence or interest" the "default and recommended option." It also reaches people who have "shown interest in" a location without being there.
  4. Check Bing in Japan and Australia. Bing's share is 31.41% in Japan and 9.17% in Australia, and Microsoft Ads can import Google Ads campaigns.
  5. Decide on South Korea deliberately. With Naver at 43.06%, a Google-only plan there is a plan for half the market.

How should results be judged in APAC?

On cost per SQL, country by country, over more than one quarter. Published ranges put the sales cycle 18% to 32% longer than in the US, so a 90-day reading catches fewer closed deals.

Three habits help.

  • Never blend countries in reporting. A cheap click in one market and an expensive one in another average out to a number that describes neither.
  • Compare each country with its own past, not with a US benchmark.
  • Count qualified leads, not form fills. In the 2026 Google Ads waste audit, 78% of form fills never became an SQL. That audit is 88% US accounts, and nothing suggests cheaper clicks qualify more often.

What are the limits of this data?

Four limits apply to this page.

  • No APAC B2B SaaS benchmark was found. Every cost figure here is directional.
  • The country comparison is undated and uses English keywords, which fits Japan poorly. It gives no figure for South Korea.
  • StatCounter measures page views across all devices and all kinds of search, not business searches alone.
  • The regional LinkedIn cost per lead has no stated basis.

Frequently asked questions

Is Google Ads enough for B2B SaaS in South Korea?

Not on its own. Google holds 47.97% of search in South Korea and Naver 43.06%, according to StatCounter for September 2026. Google Ads does not reach searches made on Naver, so a Google-only plan covers about half of search in that market.

Is Microsoft Ads worth running in Japan?

It is worth checking. StatCounter puts Bing at 31.41% of search in Japan for September 2026, far above its 2.99% across Asia. That figure counts all page views, not business searches alone, so the test is a small campaign judged on cost per SQL.

Do ChatGPT ads run in APAC?

In two countries named so far. OpenAI's 2026 expansion included Japan and South Korea. No other APAC country, including Australia, Singapore and India, is named in the announcements read for this page. OpenAI's own pages carry the current list.

Which APAC markets cost closest to the US?

Australia and New Zealand, on one directional measure. WordStream's country comparison puts estimated search click prices 5% below the US average in Australia and 14% below in New Zealand. Singapore is 58% below and Japan 47% below. The comparison covers all industries and is undated.

Should APAC run as one campaign?

No. Search engines, languages, prices and time zones all change between markets. Separate campaigns by country give each one its own budget and its own cost per SQL. A single APAC campaign hides which country is paying back and which is not.
